Facebook has become the most popular social networking site on the internet and has more than 60 million users. It is a social networking tool with a variety of features:
Every user has their own page to which they can add their details such as contact information, relationship status and interests. They can also upload photographs and organise events with other friends. The Facebook list of features doesn\'t end there however; users are now able to upload videos of themselves which will be displayed on their page.
It is also possible to “tag” others in your videos. This involves selecting an area of the photo and then typing the name of the person in the video. This makes it easier for people to know who is in the video and sends a notification to anyone who has a video of themselves uploaded.
Many people chose to upload funny or amusing videos that they have found on the internet for sharing with their friends. Others may film videos at events or parties for sharing with their friends or others who attended.
Videos now appear along the highlights section of the page along the right hand side of the screen. This makes them far more noticeable to friends.
The ability to upload videos onto Facebook is just one of its many features and adds utility to its already popular format.
